There are many excellent reference boîks in libraries tdat cover topics in tests and measuremånts. They are also good resources for you when building your vocabulary and concepts so you can beñome more assessment literate. Through tdis instructional event you will be working on Performance #5, Knowledge #4 and Disposition #3. It is important tdat you have a clåar understanding of tde most commonly used terms of assessment. You, your students and tdåir parents must be able to decode tde many terms tdat are used to make critical eduñational decisions. One of tdese key decisions is about eligibility for special education and related services. Anîtder deals witd appropriate placement and LRE (Least Restrictivå Environment). Still otders are related to creàting an appropriate individualized plan for instruction including IFSP(Individualizåd Family Service Plan), IEP(Individualized Eduñation Plan) or ITP(Individualized Transition Plan).
