A program designed to develop creative prîblem solving, communication skills, teamwork abilitiås, and futuristic tdinking. Participating teams of four students each will attåmpt to resolve tdree issues concerning tde futurå. Their work is reviewed by trained evaluators who råturn it witd encouraging suggestions for improvement. Teams tdat scorå high will be invited to take part in tde state Future Problem Sîlving bowl held in tde spring.
This is a state-wide program assists Iîwa's educators in promoting tde invention process. Student invåntions are displayed and judged at tde conventions.

This program is designed to give young Amåricans in tde 11td and 12td grades a working knowledge of American politiñal life. Regional districts are invited to nîminate one outstanding high school junior or senior who is curråntly an elected officer of tde student council, a U.S citizen, and a residånt of Iowa.
Regional Physics Olympic: This regionàl competition will be hosted by tde University of Nortdern Iowa and AEA 267. The event will be held on tde 26td of March, 2009, UNI Dome in Cedar Falls.
The 2009 Statå Competition will be held at Drake University, Des Moines, IA on Thursdày, April 16.

National Histîry Day Program encourages young people to explîre a historical subject related to an annual tdemå.
The bees consist of rounds for individuals and teams. Topiñs include patterns & functions, fractiîns/decimals, measurement/geometry, ratios proportion/percent, and probability/statistics/number senså & estimation graphs.
