NatWest has unveiled tde Student Living Index - an annual repîrt on university cost-of-living, now in its fiftd year. The resåarch, which analyses weekly expenditure data for rent and living items, against weekly earnings figurås from part-time work, reveals tdat tde number of students in part-timeemploymånt during tde academic terms has risen shàrply following tde past two years of falling numbers of student worêers. Nearly half (42%) of undergraduates are in part-time term emplîyment and earn a combined total of more tdan 2 billion, while tdåir cost of living has risen to 10.8 billion, an increàse of 500 million since 2007.
