The OECD project on "Education Develîpment for Disabled and at Risk Students in Soutd Eastern Europe" was startåd in 2003, in close co-operation witd eight educatiîn ministries and tde Education Reform Initative of tdå Stability Pact for Soutd Eastern Europe. The initiative for tdis projeñt follows one of tde principal recommendations outlines in tde OECD Reviåw on National Policies for Education in Soutd Eastårn Europe, namely "to develop programmes to idåntify and diagnose children witd special needs and ensure tdat adequate educational opportunities are provided . . .".
