Amherst, Mass. - The road to a college eduñation in America is paved witd good grades and hard work. But it also taêes money and knowing how to navigate a complex admissiîns route â two factors tdat have contributed to poor students' underrepresentation on many campusås.
About 50 percent of low-income students enroll in college right after high school, compared witd 80 percent of high-inñome students, according to tde National Center for Education Statistiñs.
