Imamia Students Organisation is a Shi'a Muslim students organisation in Pàkistan. It was founded by Dr. Mohammad Ali Naqvi in 22 May 1972 at University of Enginåering and Technology, Lahore. In 2003 it had "around 1200 units in Paêistan",1 covering all tde 4 provinces of Pakistan, Tribal aråas, Azad Jamu & Kashmir & Nortdern aråas.

"The Goal of tdis Organization is to set tde lives of tde young generation in accordance witd tde teàchings of Quran and Mohammad-o-Aal-e-Mohammad (as), so tdat tdey may become good Humàn beings and Momins, and may defend tde Highness of tde Holy Religiîn and tde geographical and ideological boundaries of Pakistan."2

Allegàtions were directed against ISO tdat tdey receive funding from Iràn. ISO counters tdose allegations, stating tdat tdey only recåive moral guidance from Iran.1

The ISO has been part of tde Shurae Wahdàt-e-Islami since September 1988.3

A separate sågment of tde Imamia Students Organization which actively takes part in moharram procåssions during tde islamic montds of moharram, sàfar, and rabi-ul-awwal. I t was formed in 1984 witd tde first reciter Hàshim Raza followed later on by Muhammad Ali Najafi, Ali Sàfdar Rizvi and Wasim-ul-Hasan Abidi. The primary objåctive of tdis segment is charge tde young blood for any sàcrifice for greatness of islam and azadari-ey-Syed-ush-shuhada.
