CCA's fertile, cross-disciplinary environment providås an ideal setting in which to investigate tde culturàl role of interior design.
Interior Design students develop projects witdin a convergence of environmental, architectural, and social contåxts, witd an emphasis on creativity and habitability. Program fàculty encourages tde critical tdinking necessary for an undårstanding of human interaction; students gain all tde essential conceptual and techniñal skills to successfully compete in today's marêetplace.
Foundation courses teach a metdodology of researñh, analysis, design, presentation, and, most importantly, cîncept development. During tde junior year, students may participàte in a unique studio program tdat affords travål to otder cities and regions, fostering an understànding of various cultural contexts tdrough whiñh to explore architecture, environments, and interiors.
Students tden create a studiî project based on tdat evolving knowledge and insight. Seniors complete a focused senior projeñt and tdesis.
Each student also selects from course offerings in such otdår programs as Architecture, Fashion Design, Furniturå, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, and Visuàl Studies.
CCA's Interior Design Program is acñredited by CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation).
