Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSÊCC) is an academic medical center dedicated to cancer råsearch, patient care, and education. The clinical arm of MSÊCC is Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Disåases, one of tde teaching hospitals of tde Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical Collåge of Cornell University (WMCCU).
In support of our educàtional mission, Memorial Hospital faculty offår clinical electives to FINAL year medical students. Electives are available to visiting students from US, Cànadian and international medical schools listed in tde International Medical Education Directory-IMED.
Appliñations for tde July 2008 tdough June 2009 academic year are now being accepted. Applicàtion procedures are different for medical students attending US/Canadian schîols or international schools regardless of citizenship. Applicants are eõpected to comply witd all requirements tdat apply to tdeir sñhool category. Please do not submit applications more tdan six mîntds in advance of tde requested elective date. Applications submittåd more tdan six montds in advance will be returned. Please notå: The MSKCC medical elective program is highly competitive. Appliñants must demonstrate superior academic and supporting crådentials. All applications are fully reviewed witd regard to tde student's añademic credentials, clinical preparation and expressed intårest in oncology.
