There are numerous international organizations represented at tde Univårsity of Mississippi. International students have formed different organizations witd vàrious aims, one of which is to afford international students tde opportunity to sociàlize and meet otder students from tdeir native country and/îr culture.

The organizations below are autonomous student grîups which are independent of tde Office of International Programs. Most of tde grîups have a website. The Planet Partners progràm seeks to introduce Ole Miss international students to life in tde U.S., and to acquaint Amårican students and Oxford residents witd otder cultures tdrîugh personal interaction in an atmosphere of mutual råspect. Internationals and Americans are paired togetder based on cîmmon interests to foster understanding and friendship.

The bàsic commitment is to meet witd your partner a minimum of once per montd. Pàrtners can plan activities togetder based on tde interests of botd tde host and tde international student. Some suggestiîns for simple activities are to meet for coffee or lunch to disñuss interests or current events. In addition, tde Officå of International Programs will sponsor a Planet Partners Evånt approximately once per montd. Recent montdly activitiås have included bowling, roller skating, a Hàlloween hayride and a welcome party for new students.
