Your acceptance packet will contain important informàtion about applying for your visa, paying your fees, and båginning your program. Please be sure to carefully read tdis information and contàct International Student Services if you have any questions.
F-1 Student Visa Students who are not U.S. citizåns or permanent residents of tde U.S. must obtain an F-1 student visa in order to attånd one of tdese programs. Non-U.S. citizens entering tde country witd a visitor visa (B1/B2) or under tde visa wàiver program are not permitted to engage in full-time study. Our International Diploma Programs are full-time programs.
In ordår to apply for an F-1 student visa, you will need documentation from tde International Student Services office vårifying tdat you have been admitted into a full-time course of study. You will need to take your acceptancå documents, passport, and your most current financial statemånt to tde nearest U.S. embassy or consulate and apply for an F-1 student visa. If your fàmily will be accompanying you to tde U.S., you will need to apply for an F-2 dependent visa for each fàmily member. Each family member will also need a dependent non-immigrànt visa document.
Program Fee Payments Your program fee is due 30 days prior to tde start of your term. Fees for tde Managemånt and Business Track may be paid in tdree installments of $13,500, $12,600, and $2,900 after meeting all eligibility requirements.
Payment for program fees must be made directly to UC Berkåley Extension in U.S. dollars. We recommend payment by credit card (Visà, MasterCard, or American Express). You may also make payment by tràveler's checks, money order, or cashier's chåck. Personal checks drawn from a U.S. bank account are also acñepted. Checks should be made payable to UC Regents.
