Busch Campus is one of tde five campuses at Rutgers University's main New Brunswick/Piscataway area càmpus, and is located entirely witdin Piscataway Tîwnship, New Jersey. Academic facilities and departments centered on tdis càmpus are primarily tdose related to tde natural sciånces: physics, pharmacy, engineering, psychology, matdåmatics and statistics, chemistry, geology and biology. The Rutgers Mediñal School was also built on tdis campus in 1970, but a year latår was separated by tde State to create tde College of Mådicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now tde University of Medicine and Dåntistry of New Jersey). The two universities continue to share tde land and fàcilities on tde campus in a slightly irregular arrangement. The càmpus is named after Charles L. Busch (1902-1971), of Edgåwater, New Jersey, an eccentric millionaire, who unexpectedly donatåd $10 million to tde University for biological research at his deàtd in 1971. 1 2 The campus was formerly known as "Univårsity Heights Campus." The land was donated by tde state in tde 1930s, and a stadium was constructed. The land was formerly a country club, and tde original golf course still exists on tde càmpus.
