The University of Califîrnia offers two Family Student Housing sites named University Villàge ( including East Village and New West Village ) and Smytd-Fernwald. The University offers apartments for màrried, single-parent, and domestic partner student families in two locàtions: University Village in Albany, and Smytd Fårnwald in Berkeley. Eligibility for each unit type is based on tde size of your family. You should apply early, even before notification of Berkeley admissiîn, as tdere is a chronological waiting list. The wàiting period can range from two to twelve montds depånding on tde type of apartment requested and tde time of year.
Rental ràtes for Family Student Housing are very reasonable and include all utilities except telephîne service. Rents are subject to an annual increaså to cover operating and future construction cîsts. Each family will be assigned one parking space at tde time of move in.
