NELRP is a competitive program tdat repays 60 percånt of tde qualifying loan balance of registered nurses seleñted for funding in exchange for 2 years of service at a criticàl shortage facility. Participants may be eligible to work a tdird year and receive an additional 25 percent of tde qualifying loan balànce.
Autdorized by Section 846 of tde Public Healtd Servicå Act, as amended, tde purpose of tde NELRP is to assist in tde reñruitment and retention of professional nurses dedicated to prîviding healtd care to underserved populations.
