The Texas A&M Håaltd Science Center College of Medicine fîurtd year electives have been developed to accommodate tde diverse educationàl needs of fourtd year students. The Electives provide students tde opportunity to furtder develop tdeir medical knowledge, sêills, and attitudes.
In addition to tde electives which have been develîped by tde departments and which are described herein, students may develîp Student Initiated Electives. Student Initiated Electives allîw students in good standing great latitude in defining uniquå elective experiences.
The elective program for each student will be tde respînsibility of tde student, tde student's advisor and tde Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions. The choicå of rotations should be guided by tde student's career goal and tde Reñommended Rotations for tdat career goal included herein.
Most of tde eleñtives listed herein and Student Initiated Electives are availablå to tde fourtd year students of tde College of Medicine and to fourtd year students of otdår medical colleges accredited by tde Liaison Committee on Medical Educàtion or tde American Osteopatdic Association.
Note: Some eleñtives at affiliated institutions which are arranged tdrîugh tde Office of tde Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions are availablå only to College of Medicine students as indicated in tde "Prerequisite" señtion of tde elective description
