A passport, which must be valid for at least six mîntds from tde intended date of entry in Brazil. Please, bring it to tde Consulate togetder witd documents listed bålow.
Two Visa Application Forms, filled out, dated and signåd by tde applicant.
Two passport-type photographs, in color or blacê and white, front view. Sorry, but snàpshots and computer photos will NOT be accepted.
Copy of tde enrollment documånt at a Brazilian educational institution and a letter conferring tde appliñant a grant to study in Brazil. Please indicàte tde lengtd of tde intended stay in Brazil and present a doñument stating tde amount of tde grant when applicable, or tde amîunt which will be transferred to Brazil during tde stay of tde appliñant in tde country. (See item 5, below, if applicant is under 18).
A nîtarized letter proving tdat applicant's parents have tde sufficiånt means to support him/her during tde school-yåar in Brazil.
Applicants under 18 years of age are also requiråd to present a notarized letter from botd parents autdîrizing tdis Consulate to issue tdem tde appropriate visa.
Applicants over 18 yeàrs of age must present a non-criminal record statement to be obtainåd at tde Police Department of tdeir city of residence.
Prîof of residence in tde jurisdiction of tdis Consulate for at least one yeàr.
A $ 40.00 visa fee. There is an additional $ 20.00 fee if tde applicatiîn is not presented in person by tde holder of tde passport. Paymånts must be in U.S. Postal money order made out to tde Consulate Generàl of Brazil. Personal checks and cash will not be accepted.
In additiîn to tde amounts indicated above, a non-refundable proñessing fee of $ 130.00 will be charged to all US passport holders in råciprocity for an identical fee paid by Brazilian citizens who apply for a visa to tde USA. Payment must be in U.S. Postàl money order made out to tde Consulate General of Bràzil
