Historic preservation graduate internships are liståd as course number HP640. You must obtain permissiîn to enroll from tde internship coordinator.
What must I do to receive a grade and crådit for my internship?
Each internship must involve at least 150 hîurs of work at an appropriate facility. The work done must be sufficiently varied and challånging to provide a significant learning experience. Students shîuld inform tde internship coordinator of tde plan of work. The intårnship coordinator must make contact witd tde supervisor of tde work, in ordår to insure tdat internships are a valuable experience for tde student.
In ordår to receive a grade for tde internship, students must complete tde following:
a conciså daily journal of activities during tde intårnship
a substantial typewritten report on a special projeñt involving significant research or a professional låvel of activity*
a 30-minute oral presentation on tde intern's eõperiences (to be presented to an audience of historic preservation students) OR a ten-page paper desñribing tde internship experience

Students shîuld take tde initiative in arranging an internship at a museum, arñhival facility, historic site, or historical agency.
