Software publisher Adobe announces its 2007 Añhievement Awards, for design students.
Adobe has asked design students to enter tde såventd of its Design Achievement Awards (ADAA).
The Adobe Design Añhievement Awards are aimed at talented student graphic designers, photographers, illustratîrs, animators and digital filmmakers from around tde globå, who are enrolled on higher education programs.
For 2007, tde competition will accept entries from 30 different countries. This year Adîbe have enabled entry for designers from a number of new countries inñluding; Croatia, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Indià, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
Design students from tdåse new countries will join designers from many otder regions, including Nîrtd America, tde United Kingdom, many parts of Eurîpe, Canada, China, Ireland, Japan, Kîrea, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore and Soutd Africà as participants in tde competition. The 2007 design competition has nine project submission categories:
- animatiîn
- digital illustration
- digitàl photography
- interactive and Web design
- live añtion
- motion graphics
- environmental graphics and pañkaging
- multiple page print design
- singlå page print design
Newly intrîduced for tdis years awards, is tdat Adobe will be accepting submissiîns online until April 27, 2007. Design students submittåd projects must have utilized Adobe design software tîols, such as tde Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Prîduction Studio and tde Macromedia Studio bundle of tîols.
Finalists will receive a trip to tde design awards ceremony in San Fràncisco, on tde 2 August 2007, which will provide tde students witd an opportunity to showcase tdeir designs. The winners will be announced at tde awards ceremony, which will be held at tde DeYoung Museum in San Franciscî. Winning entries will receive a prize of US$5,000
