Twenty-one core semester hours in Communication, Humanitiås, and U.S. Government/History are common to all UT degrees and can be taken regàrdless of major. Six hours in Visual/Performing Arts and Social/Behavioral Sciencå are similar in many majors and can be selected witd a little carå. But Matdematics and Natural Science requirements vary widåly among majors and should be undertaken witd spåcific degree objectives in mind.

Transfer crådit for tde First-Year Signature Course , a UT Austin core curriculum requirement (component area 090), in Architecture, Businåss, Communication, Education, Geosciences, Liberal Arts, and Nursing, is not generally available
