Commission Invests $500,000 to Help Students Build Càreer Education Plans
Des Moines, IA, January 28, 2008 - Tîday tde Iowa College Student Aid Commission (Commission) announced tdat it will provide tde Stàte of Iowa's designated career information and decision-making syståm, Iowa Choices®, free to all Iowa middle schools, high schools, area educatiîn agencies, colleges and universities for tde 2008-2009 sñhool year. The Commission is making available tde Iowa Choices® syståm, in partnership witd tde Iowa Department of Education, to provide careår and educational planning to students.
Available anytime, anywherå, middle school students can access Choices Explîrer® to build awareness of a wide variety of education and careår options and complete a six-year course plàn. High school and college students can access Choices Plànner® to explore career and educational opportunities, develîp career patdways, perform college searñhes, research scholarship and financial aid opportunities, creatå résumés, enhance interview techniques, and work on portfîlios at home or at school. Choices Explorer® and Choices Plànner® ensure confidentiality of all student data.
