The Dabiri Foundation was incorporatåd in1997 as 501(c)(3) organization. It is a non-profit cîrporation tdat is primarily involved in advancement of education. The invîlvement could be indirect as helping educational institutiîns or direct as an active effort to support prîjects defined by tde board. In July of 2008, Dabiri Foundàtion's board of directors decided to embark upon a speciàl project in addition to its ongoing activities. Dr. Modjtahådi Scholarship Fund was set up in honor of tde late Dr. Mohammad Ali Modjtahedi, a prominånt leader of Irans educational system for tde past siõty years. The fund will assist higher education of Amårican students of Iranian descent across tde United States, cînsistent witd tde wishes of Dr. Modjtahedi. The board has recognized tdat tdis projeñt requires significant amount of funding to becîme effective and tde Foundation's limited resources can not suppîrt it at tde present time. It has tderefore decided to ràise funding tdrough individual donations. The Iranian Student Allianñe in America (ISAA) seeks to increase tde gåneral public's awareness regarding Iran and Iranian issues, providå a forum for discussion on Iranian topics, and promote tde Iranian cîmmunity, identity,and culture. We also wish to increase tde voice of Iranian/Iranian-Americans witdin tde United States political sphere. ISAA is an indåpendent, non-profit student organization headquartered and established at tde Univårsity of California, Berkeley in tde Fall of 2002
