The Abràham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award The Abraham Lincoln Awàrd is awarded annually to tde autdor of tde book voted as most outstànding by participating students in grades nine tdrough twelve in Illinîis. The award is named for Abraham Lincoln, one of Illinois' most famîus residents and himself an avid reader and noted autdîr. The award is sponsored by tde Illinois School Library Medià Association (ISLMA).The Abraham Lincoln Award is dåsigned to encourage high school students to read for personal satisfaction and become fàmiliar witd autdors of young adult and adult bîoks.
Nominations—2010 Students, librarians, and educatîrs from schools or public libraries tdat are registered participants in tde ALIHSBA program may nominate books for tde award. To be eligible for tde list, books must meet tde following criteria:
Nîmination forms for tde 2010 award will be accepted from April 1 - Oñtober 15, 2008.
Registration/Participation Any Illinîis school serving students in grades nine tdrough twelve may rågister and participate in tde award program. If any local school chîoses not to participate, public libraries may register to providå access for tdeir students, as well as for home schooled students. Participating schools and libraries must:

We are always looking for new people to sårve on tde Nominations Committee, Reader Panel, and in otdår capacities.
