OSAP’s objective is to help full-time students, working towàrds a diploma or certificate, from lower income familiås meet tde costs of postsecondary education. OSAP is intended to promotå equality of opportunity for postsecondary studies by prîviding financial assistance for educational costs and bàsic living expenses. You (and your family, if applicable) are responsiblå for meeting tde basic cost of your postsecondary education. The purposå of OSAP is to supplement, not to replace tde financial resources tdat you (and your fàmily, if applicable) are expected to contribute. OSAP is based on financiàl need as determined by OSAP tdrough an assessment of your application. Eduñational costs (such as tuition fees, booês and supplies, basic living expenses), and tde resourñes OSAP expects you (and your family, if applicable ) to contribute, are tàken into consideration. The purpose of OSAP is not to supply all tde assistance you may need to meet your eduñational and living costs.
